We specialize in separation and divorce, child custody and access disputes, parenting plans, separation agreements, marriage contracts and prenuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, court representation, representation during mediation, arbitration, or other alternative dispute resolution, child support, spousal support, uncontested divorce areas of family law.
How many years of experience do you have in family law?
Tanya McNevin and Thomas MacKay have both been practicing primarily in family law since their Call to the Bar in 2011.
Will you personally handle my case or will it be handed off to another lawyer or associate?
We will personally handle your matter from beginning to end. We will not pass your file off to an associate and you will deal personally with the lawyer you retained.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
What forms of payments do you accept?
We prefer Interac email transfers, but accept cash, cheque, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express Credit Cards.
Do you accept legal aid or Unifor Legal?
We are unable to accept legal aid. Some clients have submitted our bills to Unifor Legal for partial reimbursement.
Do you offer a free consultation?
We do not. During our initial consultation we spend the time it takes to listen to your situation and offer expert advice on how to proceed. Clients have told us that they appreciated our thorough assessment of their situation versus their experiences in obtaining short “free consultations” with other lawyers.
How do you handle communication with clients?
We communicate directly with our clients during in person meetings, video teleconference, telephone calls, letter correspondence, and e-mail, depending on the situation and client needs and requests.
